The Shills

The Shills walk a fine line between delicate beauty and jolting, body shaking rock. Formed in early 2004, they have been cultivating a sound built from exacting musicianship & creative flexibility. The Shills’ most recent release “Ganymede” is a concept record about a misanthrope who gets shipwrecked after leaving society to be alone. Without anyone else to focus his hate on he is forced to turn inward & slowly drives himself…

Torreblanca

TORREBLANCA is a Mexican rock / pop / alternative independent body established in late 2007. The band is made up of 5 young, distinct and seasoned musicians, who create a uniquely amazing and fresh sound. TORREBLANCA is found, but also lost in the music creation. In their recordings and live performances, the band offers unpredictable, smart, intense,  interpretations that are visceral and sincere without asking the listener for permission.

Jiangsu & The Band from Marz

Jiangsu returns to the scene after his last project in band (Television Kamikaze) with a solo project. Unlike their previous projects, Jiangsu was given the freedom of meter synthesizers, trio of strings, up to 3 guitars in the same song and many voices doing harmonies. The result is 7 songs in Spanish and 3 in English for this first production alone. Faced with this musical freedom Jiangsu mixed rock, synth…

Pillow Talk

Pillow Talk grew up on the Promise Ring and the Weakerthans, but we traced them back as far as we could and found Johnny Paycheck, Merle, and George Jones. Their grandparents eloped to Clovis, New Mexico on the day Buddy Holly rolled into town to begin the first of his sessions with Norman Petty. Bob Wills was a barber in the town our folks hail from. Hank Williams wasn’t from Texas,…

Poc

Poc is an edgy rock singer hailing from Mexico with an amazing voice and a unique story. Her tale begins as a young ballet dancer in Mexico City on the morning of her audition into professional dance school. He started his career in 2006 with his self-released EP “Real, not right” with his then band “Los Vincent Black Shadows”, pretty soon the band decamped to Montreal after an invitation to play there. They ended up doing a small U.S. and Canadian tour. Upon return Joe recorded and produced the band´s first…

Cruz

Cruz was fromed when five friends that were born and raised in Sao Paulo joined forces to create a soulful rock band with a modern edge. Their first album was put together in a week at Daniel and Filipe’s studio in Brazil. The band completed their initial recordings, packed their bags and traveled all the way to Los Angeles. Shortly after arriving, the members of Cruz impressed Jay Baumgardner with their talent, energy…

We opened for REM, Oasis, Travis in Lima for crowds…

Master Blaster Sound System

Master Blaster Sound System is at the nexus of Cumbia Crunk, Roots Norteño and Deep Club tracks. South Texas Cumbia OG’s Dj Dus, Brian Ramos, and Cecy Treviño are at the creative center of this brutal collaboration several years in the making. Master Blaster is producing fresh sounds and beats for a new generation of cross-pollinated youth. Electronic toys, live beats and a full band push the live show envelope and…

The Heroine

The Heroine defines themselves with style; others prefer to use relentless touring. Still others seek notoriety with the quality of songwriting and musicianship, or with on-stage acrobatics and off-stage antics. It is rarely that a band comes along that possesses a piece of each of these “defining qualities,” yet remains defined by something else altogether: Its work ethic. San Antonio’s The Heroine is one such band. Working towards lofty (but…

3 Dudes & a Mullet

3 Dudes & a Mullet’s beginning goes back about 5 years, when Fish (lead vocals, guitar and ukulele), Miots (bass, violin percussion, clavichord, oboe), Poni (everything Miots doesn’t want to play) and Bueno (drums and percussion), decided to team up to play their favorite cartoon show themes, such as: Alf, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Thundercats, G-Force, Silverhawks…which they consider to be master pieces, and were unable to find on Napster…
